Why do people think norton antivirus is rubbish?computers

Hi in my opinion and I'm sure other people will disagree but here is why Norton is bad,firstly it ties itself deep into the system and is very hard to get rid of (know fact) secondly it uses huge amounts of resources (know fact)..Now people are gonna say to get a PC capable so that you don't run out of resources i already have but still i don't like a programme that ties itself so far in..Norton years ago when first released was free to people, AVG is still free and has been around just as long but they have not forgot the people without whom it would not exist..Norton has forgotten this point and has turned it into a huge money spinner (overpriced known fact)..this is not the only programme to do this there is another well known programme that does the same..there are separate programmes that do the same job just as good but uses very Little resources.. i recommend ones that are built for the job,dedicated anti virus and dedicated firewalls do the job much better..Anyway this is my opinion,Hope this helps..Steve

If you read reviews and computer forums from any of the large magazines many suggest that Norton products slow your computer down badly and also are difficult to remove once installed. Norton virtually admit the second fault by providing a help site on the web with software to remove Norton. Hope this helps.
I purchased it and tried it, and uninstalled it. It slowed my otherwise fast computer to a slow crawl. I also had the Norton spam protection for my email and I could not send nor receive perfectly safe items.
