It use to scan around 200,000 files. Now it keeps growing and growing!! What is going on??

get rid of progams you dont need or are old its a tencalgical mirical that nortn diden't overload the computer and for the love of god deframent the c drive

Windows installer is a huge file. but uiono if its that big,

Uninstall Norton and download AVG anti virus, see if theres something norton is not picking up.

After i uninstalled norton and installed AVG i noticed Norton didn't pick up half the stuff avg did.
Ok...Maybe its a slow computer, or U got a ton of programs, why else does it reach 700,000%26lt;%26gt;%26lt;%26gt;
May be you've installed more program. I suggest you to get Kaspersky Anti virus or Internet Security. It's faster scaning than Norton. It also won't slow down your PC. Kaspersky's software just takes 128MB.
