when i click install it says that i cant dowload the program because it is already in the process of being installed then the windo dissapears its been like this for a month ...any info would help thanks

Have you contacted Symantec phone support?
If you're having so many problems with it (and my husband has heard lots of bad things about it and he had nothing but problems with it as well) try using something different... Personally, my husband and I use AVAST.... It's free and has been amazing. We love it and would never go back to to paid stuff again (I always had McAfee and he had experience with both products).
