NOD32 does have one of the best detections out there. Although norton AV is also good, it is heavy on your system resource compared to NOD32 which is one of the lightest.

there are totaly a lot of different on each antivirus. Including the interface and how they handle virus for example.

My suggestion simple just use what ever antivirus that you use to. Or the one u can maxismise all the function given k.

I prefer NOD32 coz it need advance user to operated totaly.
in short yes. go to http://www.av-comparatives.org/ . This is an independant site that tests all of the av packages.

This is a fair rundown of the top few. http://anti-virus-software-review.topten...

NOD has much faster scan speeds and proactive searching. The version up there is 2.7 but wait a week for the Feb 08 results to be out. That should have v3 up there. The NOD AV package is good not the firewall so stick with the AV not the smart suite if u want to get it. the top three on most sites would be BitDefender , Kaspersky and Nod.. Others like avg, norton and mcaffe are alright but often tend to have bigger memory footprints and tend to slow a system down.

On a personal note I prefer BitDefender. That protects the registry from attacks as well. BIt it boild down to personal pref. Any of the top few are goood. If you intend on using NOD look up "blackspear settings tutorial". The default setting in NOD are not too fantastic but once you stick with blackspears settings its ready to go.
NOD32's only real rival is Kaspersky, that's how good it is.

But some people feel that NOD 32 is geared to more to the advanced user than the average user.

However I digress and to answer the question *as asked*, NOD 32 is seriously better than Norton.
