in the control panel you went to add/remove programs and tried to remove it there? If you did, then try going to Start, Right click , go to explore and then try looking in Program Files for Norton's and you can try looking in the same location in (C) drive for the folder named Norton's Anti-virus.

Some times these types of programs like to hide from you and you just have to hunt them down. :-) Good Luck
Why do you want to uninstall Norton AV? Do you have a different AV program to install? You don't want to leave yourself with antivirus protection.

Norton is hard to remove, and it will fight you.
