I run Adaware, Spybot, Norton Antivirus and BT scans, working fine for ages, now stop mid-scan.?

These scans worked fine till our computer guy put BP Spyware on the computer. I tried to delete it but I don't know if it has uninstalled completely.

You have had a lot of good answers - you need to give a little bit more info - and will need to see if it is a software problem

BUT if install the BP spyware sweeper - you can always tell if the spyware sweeper is a good program or not by visiting their web page - looking a BP web page looks very basic http://www.bpcomp.com/spyware.html - so the program maybe basic and might not be legit

the spyware progs that you have got are they all active? because if they are all active at once then they are all trying to look at the windows reg at the same time - di-activate them

sometimes when the antispyware program comes across a pestky little problem that it will not be able or fix then you might have a problem

take note of the offending problem = the type the probLem in to google

Also disable the windows restore option - IN THE SYSTEM PROPERTIES(SOMETIMES THE RESTORE CAN CONTAIN SPYWARE FILES THAT STORE THE INFO ON THIS AREA)

THEN DO A SCAN - AFTERWARDS RE-ENABLE THE SYSTEM ##
