Use the Norton Uninstall Tool, it runs in your webbrower and removes all traces of your norton product, uninstall using the control panel first if you can, and then use the link I gave in the sources below.

You do that very carefully..first to to start %26gt;run and type in REGEDIT ..on the box which appears click on Edit at top,on dropdown click on Find,,here type in nortons,,click on find next.

Last,right click and delete everything which shows in the search window on right only!
