Is macafee better or norton antivirus better?

Both are useless.

Macafee is not able to detect all the viruses and norton is too heavy for RAM. So at this time I m using AVG. So u should also at least try that u will get AVG free version also from net from downloads.com or grigsoft.com. And it is fully functional you don't need to pay even a single penny.

i am currently using Norton Internet Security 2007 in windows vista ultimate OS and its not slowing down my PC.till now not a single virus or any type of attack was able to crack my system.

If you are really serious about your system protection then you must opt for Norton

Norton anti virus
both suck, they run a bunch of crap in the background and slow your computer down like non other. try AVG FREE or SPYBOT. both free and very reliable.
Both are useless but mcafee is better as it tries not to slow down your PC.

I would say try Microsoft windows live one care,it is great better than these 2, it also speeds up your PC,tunes up your hardware and backs up your files,believe me it is awesome,quickly recognises spy-ware as well and many companies recommend it as its made by MicroSoft the developer of the OS windows so it knows a lot more about the OS than Norton or mcafee(i have tried them all,but windows live one care is the best).
