Don't renew Nortons as it is one of the very worse antivirus program in the world. Pure junk that is a hugh resource hog, fails to find viruses, and when one is found does not know how to remove.

Save your money as there are plenty of free excellent ones like Avast free for home personal use. As an excellent background scanner and update on the hour.

Here is the answer that MOST of us on Answers and most of America now advises:

DO NOT re-install Norton anti-virus when it expires.

Norton is a fine company with many great utility products

BUT

The anti-virus will not work with Vista which will be the coming PS for the next 10 years (after they get it to be compatible and get the bugs out of it) and many PC users complain bitterly about Norton's failure to detect certain malwarte ( I do not cliam this but other do).
