sorry to tell you that but you should throw Norton antivirus away and use a free antivirus such as AVG or avast. Norton surely CAN detect most viruses but dont BLOCK them. I used to use norton antivirus and i had a lot of problems with viruses (even with latest version) but since im used AVG, i havent get any virus problem.
One of the things Viruses do is slow your computer to a crawl. With Norton's you don't need the virus. Norton's will slow your pc without it. I speak from both Personal experience as I work on many computers
